The Kid who Ran for President

The Kid Who Ran for President is actually a really great book! Some reasons that I liked it was because it was really interesting, the author really thought out of the box, it was exciting, also when we had to stop at the end of history class it left me wanting to know more, and  it made me curious. The book’s main character is Judson Moon. Judson is very funny, and in my opinion I think that’s what made the book flow so smoothly. Judson also as a friend named Lane. Lane is Judson’s campaign manger. Lane I  think has a different impact on the story than Judson. Lane is more serious than Judson. I really like that though because then we can see to different characteristics of people.  My class has been reading this book over the last week and a half and I have really enjoyed the book! I would recommend this book to anyone from age 7-13. I would especially recommend this book if you have a interest in politics.

Patrick Reynnolds is the founding father of Red Ribbon Week. The reason Mr. Reynolds started Red Ribbon Week was because,         Mr. Reynolds father and eldest brother died from smoking. Patrick R. talks to audiences about how his tabacco free has made great progress. One of Mr. Reynolds quotes is,” When though moments come, and they will, don’t escape by using tabacco, drugs, alcohol, or even food, music, or work, like many adults do.” Did you know that 1 out of 3 people are addicted to drugs and tabacco? As a result of drugs 5 MILLION people have died because they think they cant get off of it, but they can, anyone can! STAY ALERT AND AWAY FROM DRUGS!
